An iPhone 13 Pro or newer turns into a 3D camera tracker via the Jetset Cine app, using its LiDAR scanner. Not required — we cover Blender matchmoving alternatives — but strongly recommended to save time and enable live composite preview.
A DSLR, mirrorless (what we use in the course), or cinema camera gives you a cleaner image to key from. No cinema camera? Even budget mirrorless bodies do the job — and you can start with an iPhone camera.
No fancy studio required. A piece of green fabric works — you just need a solid, evenly-lit surface without too much texture or reflection. We shot our demo film in a spare bedroom.
Artificial lighting lets you match your virtual and physical sets for a convincing composite, and light your greenscreen evenly. Cheap RGB LED lights work great — and in a small space, they don't need much power.
